This has led to subsequent pollution problems, faced the citizens with many daily challenges, and eliminated the opportunity for appropriate measures to manage urban transportation and traffic. Today, comparative studies are used to achieve optimal transportation management in most countries. Methods: The aim of this study was to improve the transportation and traffic management in Tehran city by understanding the concept of transportation and traffic management, studying related literature, formulating effective factors on the transportation and traffic management in 22 districts of Tehran, and ultimately ranking them based on their weights. The state of transportation and traffic management in the 22 districts of Tehran was evaluated by descriptive - analytical methods using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and Delphi techniques. The statistical population included experts in various areas of traffic and urban services. Results: The results showed that the 13th district was better than the others in terms of urban transportation and traffic management, with a final weight of 3.93. Conclusions: It is suggested that in order to optimize the management of transportation and urban traffic in Tehran, weights of components be taken into account for each urban region and be considered in the planning and management of transportation and traffic. Application of Delphi Method and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process in Modeling Environmental Performance Assessment in Urban Medical Centers
Medical centers (that is, hospitals and clinics) in metropolitan areas produce substantial amounts of hazardous waste in both solid and liquid (wastewater) forms. Unless medical centers manage their waste with appropriate care, the significant hazards posed to urban residents and areas far outweigh the benefits of their services. Therefore, comprehensive environmental management programs need t...
full textEvaluation of optimal waste management in the plating industry based on the Delphi Method and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Case Study: Paitakht Industrial District of Tehran)
The plating industry is one of the main toxic chemicals consumers, which uses various chemicals, including solvents, acids, bases, cleansers, sophisticated organic ingredients, and metal salts of cadmium, nickel and chromium. Due to the growing production of industrial waste in spite of actions related to these wastes’ management, no comprehensive pattern was introduced at different levels. Thi...
full textRisk analysis of urban flood in Bandar Abbas using Machine Learning model and Analytic Hierarchy Process
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Floods are one of the natural events that cause human casualties and damage to buildings, facilities, gardens, fields, and natural resources every year. Urbanization disturbs the balance of slopes through indirect intrusion within watersheds, kills vegetation, soil compaction, and changes in the profile of waterways, increases the severity of floods, and incr...
full textStudy of Different Utilization of Arak Urban Wastewater Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process
The water crisis in arid and semi-arid areas causes more integrated studies regarding the utilization of urban wastewater. In this research, the analytic hierarchy process was conducted in 2014 according to the relative weight of criteria resulted from a questionnaire and a primary normal matrix. The results showed that the criteria including the quality of wastewater and benefit per co...
full textA GIS-based comparative study of the analytic hierarchy process, bivariate statistics and frequency ratio methods for landslide susceptibility mapping in part of the Tehran metropolis, Iran
The high hillsides of the Tehran metropolis are prone to landslides due to the climatic conditions and the geological, geomorphologicalcharacteristics of the region. Therefore, it is vitally important that a landslide susceptibility map of the region be prepared. For thispurpose, thematic layers including landslide inventory, lithology, slope, aspect, curvature, distance to stream, distance to ...
